Outdoor Education Instructor
Nestled in the heart of the California Redwoods, Alliance Redwoods provides a magnificent 115-acre outdoor classroom for students to learn and grow. We strive to transform students by developing deeper connections with themselves, other students, and nature.
Description of Duties
Instruct 5th and 6th grade children in nature and ecology. Lead evening activities including night hikes, and campfires. Facilitate challenge course programs. Training provided
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
Christian with a Biblical lifestyle and an interest in maturing in one’s faith. People skills, team player, self-disciplined and reliable. Unwavering commitment to safety. Teaching or facilitating experience. Ability to handle crisis events and work under authority. Physically fit to meet the demands of hiking the trails, and facilitating various challenge courses. Healthy respect for heights.
Education: A.A.,B.A or B.S. Degree
Experience: Experience in teaching, camps or youth work. Lifeguard/First Aid certification is highly regarded.
Compensation: $550.00 per week; housing included
