POSITION: Logistics Specialist (DSP III)
SERVICE: Transportation
POSITION DESCRIPTION: Assist with operation of the document destruction business, including operating mobile shred truck and offering excellent customer service to increase the customer base. May fill in as transportation driver for programs and other program-related needs.

SALARY: $20/hour
STATUS: Part-Time/Full time Non-Exempt
CRITICAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Possesses the professional skills and abilities specific to the technical aspects of the position.
DOCUMENT DESTRUCTION
? Assists with oversight of document destruction operations.
? Ensures excellent customer service to all customer groups.
? Assists team in building the document destruction business.
VEHICLE EXPECTATIONS/DOCUMENTATION
? Operates shred truck, buses, and other transportation vehicles safely while adhering to all legal and BI vehicle/transportation procedures.
? Perform and maintain daily records of specified safety and maintenance inspections.
? Maintain mileage, gas, time, and work records as directed.
? Identifies and promptly reports vehicle repair needs to the Transportation Manager.
? Ensures inspection and cleanliness of the vehicle before/after each use.
KEEPING RECORDS AND REPORT WRITING
? Maintains records, writes, and submits accurate reports as required by BI, vendors, and related agencies.
RELATIONSHIPS
? Develops and maintains effective relationships with persons served, supervisors and other staff, customer base, and community.
? Attends and participates in trainings, staff meetings, and other employee-related activities/meetings.
OTHER
? Provides support as a Direct Support Professional working in any BI program including but not limited to, providing in-home care, transportation, and in-community services for persons served.
? Executes position-specific job duties and other duties as assigned at the discretion of BI.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
CREDENTIALS/LICENSES: Class C State of California driver’s license with clean driving record.
EDUCATION: High School graduate or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Previous driving of large commercial vehicles, customer service and/or marketing experience, as well as experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, is desirable.
COVID-19 VACCINATION:
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster or valid medical or religious exemption is required as a condition for employment. Individuals who are in the vaccination process ie; are only partially vaccinated/have only received the first dose in a two-dose series or are awaiting the 14-day post-vaccine waiting period for full vaccination status, must undergo weekly COVID-19 testing until considered fully vaccinated. Individuals with a valid medical or religious exemption must also undergo weekly COVID-19 testing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
? A physical condition that will permit frequent bending, turning, and lifting without injury.
? Ability to operate a vehicle for majority of shift.
? Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods.
? Ability to assist individuals in wheelchairs.
? Lift at least 40 pounds.
? Clearance of pre-employment Functional Capacity Evaluation with no restrictions that cannot be reasonably accommodated without undue hardship.
