Bridge Supervisor
Bridge Supervisor $5,772 - $7,016 Monthly
Reporting to the Public Works Operations Coordinator, and overseeing a crew of 7, the Bridge Supervisor assigns, organizes, and supervises the construction, repair, and maintenance of bridges, culverts, catch basins, viaducts, curbs, gutters, and other related timber, concrete, and steel structures. To successfully oversee the Bridge Crew, the Supervisor must use their knowledge of how to effectively evaluate and prioritize bridge maintenance activities. The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Multiple years of bridge maintenance experience constructing, repairing, and maintaining bridges, cattle guards, guardrails, and steel ties
- Experience maintaining accurate work records; estimating the type and amounts of materials needed; and ordering supplies, parts, and materials
- The proven ability to safely operate and maintain pile drivers, cranes, and backhoes; and knowledge of relevant workplace safety and environmental issues
- The ability to effectively train and mentor co-workers on the proper application and use of applicable policies, procedures, and tools
- A drive to engage others to work together towards a common goal
Highly desirable certifications include: Articulating Boom Crane (ABC), Articulating Boom Crane with Winch (ABW), Lattice Boom Truck (LBT), Rigger 1, Signalman 1, Shielded Metal Arc Welding/Stick Welding, Arc Structural Welding, and use and inspection of Fall Protection for bridge maintenance activities.
