About Our Position
Reporting to the Recruitment and Classification Manager, the HR Data Coordinator provides technical assistance and support for department and countywide human resources data and functions. This position will be responsible for:
- Maintaining and updating position data and position-control information in the County's Human Resource Information System (HRIS)
- Coordinating the County's master allocation list with the County Administrator's Office
- Updating and reporting countywide vacancy statistics
- Producing human resource information-related and budget reports on routine schedules and as requested
- Communicating information to County employees regarding Civil Service Rules, County Administrative Policies, and MOUs
- Reviewing county-wide personnel actions related to new hires, demotions, pay rate changes, position changes, transfers, etc. to ensure compliance with requirements
What you Bring to the Team
The ideal candidate for this position will possess:
- Experience performing payroll and/or position-control activities
- Experience utilizing systems and databases to create reports, extract and analyze data
- Human Resources knowledge and experience; particularly in the areas of payroll and human resources information systems
- Critical thinking skills and a solution-oriented, customer-focused mindset
- Effective communication skills to communicate technical information
- The ability to handle frequent interruptions and thrive in a fast paced environment
- A keen attention to detail
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot table development, to collect, analyze, and report data
