The Workforce Development Assistant performs a diverse array of duties to ensure the Workforce Development's County Training Center runs smoothly and functions efficiently. The Assistant provides front desk support for Workforce Development and Human Resources Benefits' customers and administrative and organizational support to in-house and contract trainers who use the facilities. This position is the primary administrator of SCORS, the County's online training registration system. Additionally, the Workforce Development Assistant:
- Provides training support including material preparation and copying, parking pass tracking and distribution, and room set-up
- Maintains inventory of training supplies
- Sets-up and breaks-down rooms for both trainings and meetings and ensures tables and chairs are clean, properly arranged, and organized
- Provides technical assistance with training room equipment
- Assists with annual scheduling of all trainings and maintains training room calendars
- Inputs courses into a learning management system and troubleshoots participant registration issues, manages sign-in sheets and attendance taking, and monitors registration numbers for upcoming classes
- Provides customer service to Workforce Development clients via email, phone, and in-person
- Provides logistical support to the off-site County executive leadership program
- Assists with communications to Training Coordinators and Human Resource Liaisons, including coordinating meetings, briefings, and "Ask HR" sessions
