Service Technician
TITLE: Pool Service Technician
RESPONSIBLE TO: Service Manager
SUPERVISES: None
PURPOSE OF POSITION
To maintain proper water chemistry and perform routine maintenance tasks to protect swimmers and pool surfaces and equipment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Testing water chemistry
Emptying net, bags, screens and baskets throughout pool equipment
Evaluate and report problems with pool or spa components
Safe and proper handling of chemicals and maximizes use
Communicate effectively with clients on a regular and ongoing basis
Brushing pool walls, net water surfaces and vacuum debris from pools
Responsible for assuring trucks are stocked, washed and maintained
Participates in development and/or revision of company processes
Participates in periodic service meetings
Shows up to work on time and in company attire
Follows company safety procedures
Able to walk over uneven terrain and stand or walk for 60% of the day
Able to lift and carry 100 lbs.
Able to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
Able to work in dusty, hot, cold, dirty, wet and/or noisy conditions
Other duties as assigned
Service Technician-Level I
Performs all tasks above to a satisfactory level without supervision
Able to program all types of pool controllers and VS pumps
Performs pool clean ups and port-o-vacs from start to finish
Can repair all types of pool cleaners
Able to perform filter cleans on all types of filters
Service Technician-Level II
Performs all tasks above to a satisfactory level without supervision
Able to perform pool start-ups on all types of interior finishes
Able to demonstrate firm knowledge of all pool systems
Performs pool cover fabric and box cleaning
Open/Close Solar systems
AUTHORITY
100% for truck stock, maintenance and cleaning
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid California driver’s license and good driving record
- Good people skills
