Caregiver
Job Description
Summary/Objective
To provide professional caregiving services to enable our clients to remain independent in their own home.
Essential Functions

- Assist with walking and light exercise.
- Plan and prepare meals followed by clean-up.
- Make beds.
- Light housekeeping to include light dusting and light vacuuming.
- Laundry
- Provide incidental transportation using client or caregiver car.
- Run errands.
- Sleep-over or live-in situations
- Assist client to and from bed
- Assist client throughout the night
- Prepare morning meals and cleanup
- Document in the Care Plan daily.
- Report hours worked through a telephony system.
- Report any significant client changes to your immediate supervisor or office immediately.

This position has no managerial responsibilities.

This job operates in client’s home.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling and stooping all day. The employee must frequently lift or move items weighing over 20 pounds.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a part-time casual employment position. Days and hours of work vary depending upon Caregiver availability and Client needs.
Travel
This position may require incidental transportation.
Required Education and Experience
One year of caregiving experience.
Preferred Education and Experience
CNA certification
Two years of related experience.
