TLC Child and Family Services’ thriving programs offer a continuum of evidence-based treatment and relationship-focused care to youth and families. We provide comprehensive quality mental health services, foster care and adoption services, residential treatment, special education services and transitional housing. We are expanding our community based mental health services to support the mission of the Families First Preservation Services Act.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Carry a caseload as assigned
- Provide home-based FFT and other treatment modalities to youth and families
- Actively participate as part of the therapy team
- Assist families by actively referring them to appropriate services and supports
- Assist families with both clinical and concrete services
- Perform the basic accountability tasks related to the job, which include compiling and maintaining all necessary records
- Assist administrative staff in collection of information for program effectiveness
- Perform other duties as requested by your direct supervisor or program director
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Master’s degree in social work or marriage and family counseling
- Ability and willingness to work with families in their own homes
- Flexibility to work when the families are available to meet
- Ability to work independently, as well as contribute to a team
- Very good interpersonal/communication skills
- Strong clinical skills
- Ability to internalize and work within the FFT philosophy and model
- Ability to work with adolescents
- Ability to work with respect for cultural diversity
- Ability to engage families who may not want the service
- Ability to individualize program interventions to utilize family strengths and skills
- Commitment to empowering families to solve their own problems
- Belief in the capacity of people to grow and change
- Ability to establish a mutually respectful relationship, in which the family is a full partner
- Ability to set appropriate boundaries and limits
- BBS registration
- Fluent in Spanish/English
- Ability to pass a criminal background check
- Clean driving record, valid CA driver license and proof of insurance
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Proficient with technology, including: Google Suite, Microsoft Office and electronic health records
TLC offers a generous benefit package for full time staff including:
- 100% employer paid health, dental and vision plans for the employee. Dependents would be covered at 50% of the base health plan by TLC, dental and vision would be the employee’s responsibility. Coverage is available on the 1st of the month following the date of hire.
- Paid Time Off: Starting at 14 days per year based on 40 hr. work week. Increases with time of service.

Compensation: $65,000-$80,000 annually
