SCP is on the lookout for a data-driven and analytical Senior Energy Analyst to play a key
role in delivering on our Mission to turn the tide on the climate crisis, through bold ideas
and practical programs. As the community-owned electricity provider for Sonoma and
Mendocino counties, SCP is at the forefront of California’s clean power transition, and we
need an innovative thinker like you to join our team!

Summary Description
As our Senior Energy Analyst, you’ll be a key player in our power supply planning, load
forecasting, advanced analytics, and risk management initiatives. You’ll develop
significant subject matter expertise in SCP’s operations and work independently on
projects including model building, portfolio optimization, forecasting, customer energy
data analysis & reporting, mapping, and database development.

Qualified candidates must be able to autonomously and creatively explore and develop
novel solutions to issues facing SCP as a load-serving entity (LSE), to allow SCP to meet
its core mandates of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and adapting to a new climate,
while maintaining competitive and stable electric rates, supporting local Sonoma and
Mendocino County economic development and meeting SCP’s obligations under various
legislative and regulatory mandates.
